A thought to be remembered!

Just if people treat you as a loser it doesn't mean you are one!
The thing that matters the most is what you think of yourself!
If there is something you really want or someone you really want to be the only person standing in your way is YOU

What do you do of expired drugs!

Hey guys and gals have you ever thought what to do of expired medicines or how to decompose them!
Drugs and pharmaceutical products include powerful chemicals that have saved or improved countless lives. But even small amounts of drugs need to be disposed of carefully so they don't pollute the environment or harm human health and wildlife.
These are some of the directions in order to dispose the same:
  • Take unused, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs out of their original containers and throw them in the trash.

  • Mixing prescription drugs with an undesirable substance, such as used coffee grounds or kitty litter, and putting them in impermeable, non-descript containers, such as empty cans or sealable bags, will further ensure the drugs are not diverted.

  • Flush prescription drugs down the toilet only if the label or accompanying patient information specifically instructs doing so.

  • Take advantage of community pharmaceutical take-back programs that allow the public to bring unused drugs to a central location for proper disposal. Some communities have pharmaceutical take-back programs or community solid-waste programs that allow the public to bring unused drugs to a central location for proper disposal. Where these exist, they are a good way to dispose of unused pharmaceuticals.

The FDA advises that the following drugs be flushed down the toilet instead of thrown in the trash:

Actiq (fentanyl citrate)
Daytrana Transdermal Patch (methylphenidate)
Duragesic Transdermal System (fentanyl)
OxyContin Tablets (oxycodone)
Avinza Capsules (morphine sulfate)
Baraclude Tablets (entecavir)
Reyataz Capsules (atazanavir sulfate)
Tequin Tablets (gatifloxacin)
Zerit for Oral Solution (stavudine)
Meperidine HCl Tablets
Percocet (Oxycodone and Acetaminophen)
Xyrem (Sodium Oxybate)
Fentora (fentanyl buccal tablet)

Go Green

this is one step forward in order to potect our failing environment!
Many steps are taken these days with the aim to stop the depletion of Ozone layer.
The U.S. has recently agreed to release funds for developed and developing countries to decrese or rather eliminate the use of CFC's and use HCFC's instead.
Here's the news:
(Washington, D.C. – Dec. 3, 2008) The U.S. made further progress protecting the ozone layer through successful agreements at the 20th meeting of the parties to the Montreal Protocol in Doha, Qatar. Developed and developing countries agreed to add $490 million to the Montreal Protocol’s Multilateral Fund for the next three years. This will help phase out chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and replacement hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and help demonstrate the environmental benefits achieved by destroying banks of unnecessary CFCs.

Parties to the protocol also authorized 94 percent of the United States’ 2010 request to use methyl bromide (an agricultural fumigant), and 100 percent of the request for CFCs used in metered-dose inhalers to treat asthma.
Recognizing the importance of protecting the climate during the transition from HCFCs to more ozone-friendly alternatives, the parties agreed to a U.S. recommendation to include a climate workshop during the next working meeting of the protocol in July 2009.

One hundred ninety-three countries are parties to the Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the ozone layer. Signed in 1987, this successful treaty is helping to heal the ozone layer by ending the production of ozone-depleting substances.

What is Light?

Light is said to have wave as well as particle properties. From ages it is said that it may consist of particles called PHOTONS which has got negligible mass. but if we consider the mass of the same we get strange results.
it is said that the mass of a PROTON is 9.1*10^(-31) kgs. now know that the energy received from the sun is around 1,367 W/m2 .
now i am working on this values in order to calculate the radius of a proton assuming that the whole particle of light is destroyed when it enters the atmosphere.
If we deny this assumption it would mean that Earth's Mass is increasing every second.\
I would surely bring some Hard proof of this soon. I am very close and requires a bit of time.
